Corn dough reached 56 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 46 percent, and corn dented reached 4 percent, above the 5-year average of 2 percent. These favorable conditions in Illinois are promising for the agricultural sector, providing optimism for a successful harvest season.

The combination of above-normal temperatures and rainfall has contributed to the healthy development of both corn and soybean crops. Farmers are hopeful that the trend of adequate to surplus moisture levels continues, ensuring that crops receive the necessary nutrients for optimal growth.

Overall, the report highlights the positive impact of the recent weather conditions on crop progress and condition in Illinois.

With the majority of the crops in good to excellent condition, the state is on track for a productive harvest season, reinforcing its significant role in the agricultural landscape.
