Taylor Crouch, a standout member of the Maroa-Forsyth FFA Chapter, has been named the 2025 Illinois FFA Star in Ag Business. This prestigious award highlights her outstanding achievements in the agricultural business sector.
Crouch's entrepreneurial journey began in her freshman year when she founded her floral business, Petals and Blooms. “I do everything from weddings and funerals to homecomings,” she explained. Her passion for floral arrangements has led her to a thriving business, with a wide variety of clients and events.
However, her entrepreneurial drive didn’t stop with flowers. Crouch expanded into the livestock sector by founding C-F Supplies, a business that provides products for livestock exhibitors. “I wholesale buy from Hog Fathers, a company out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and sell products like conditioner, shampoo, and oil,” Crouch said.
While initially focused on pigs, she expanded her business to include sheep, cattle, horses, and goats, meeting the needs of all types of livestock exhibitors.
Crouch’s hard work and dedication to both businesses made her a natural choice for the Star in Ag Business award.
Her support network includes her mother, who is also her agriculture teacher, and her father and grandparents. “It’s been amazing,” Crouch shared about the unique relationship with her mother.
As she looks ahead to her future, Crouch will attend Lincoln Land Community College this fall, where she plans to join the livestock judging team. Best of luck to Taylor as she continues her journey in agriculture!
