The Community Foundation of Central Illinois (CFCI) has officially opened its fall grant application period for organizations serving individuals within a 50-mile radius of Peoria, Illinois, excluding Knox and McLean counties. The foundation encourages applications that support impactful local programs.
Three grant categories are now open:
1. Community Needs Grants:
Grants of up to $15,000 are available for programs focused on children and youth, education, health, human services, workforce development, and community improvement. These grants are supported through field of interest and unrestricted funds. However, food-related projects are no longer eligible for this program.
2. Women’s Fund Success Grants:
Since 1993, the Women’s Fund has provided support to projects that empower women and girls. This year, grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to programs that strengthen families and communities through education, opportunity, and self-sufficiency.
3. Local Jobs Fund:
This grant aims to help reduce poverty by funding training projects that equip individuals with skills for better-paying jobs, contributing to long-term economic stability.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, groups with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, and other qualified organizations such as churches, schools, and government units. Grant funding may be used to launch new projects or support existing programs that improve life in central Illinois.
Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the full guidelines and application process on the Community Foundation of Central Illinois website before applying.
These grants are an opportunity for local organizations to expand their work and positively impact lives across the region.
