Western Illinois University’s Livestock Judging Team showcased their skills at the prestigious American Royal competition in Kansas City, MO. Competing against top teams, WIU earned an impressive fifth-place finish.
This achievement also secured the team a fifth-place ranking in the Collegiate Judging Rankings, reflecting their consistent dedication and exceptional talent throughout the season.
One of the standout moments of the event was Grace Angotti, a WIU student, being named the High Individual. Her exceptional performance not only brought pride to her team but also demonstrated her expertise in livestock judging. Grace’s achievement sets a high standard and highlights the hard work of all team members.
As the season comes to an end, the WIU Livestock Judging Team is now focusing on their final competition at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville, KY. Known as the "Super Bowl" of livestock judging, NAILE presents a challenging yet exciting opportunity for the team to build on their season's success.
WIU’s remarkable performance at the American Royal underscores their commitment to excellence in collegiate livestock judging. The team is determined to finish the season strong at NAILE, solidifying their reputation as a top contender in the field.
