AGCO and CNFA Partner to Support Sustainable Agriculture Youth

AGCO and CNFA Partner to Support Sustainable Agriculture Youth

By Jamie Martin

AGCO Agriculture Foundation is working with CNFA to help young people bring fresh ideas to agriculture. Through a new $450,000 grant, the partners will train and support 30 Youth AgriChampions over the next three years.

The selected AgriChampions will be between 18 and 40 years old. They will be chosen based on their work and interest in areas like climate-smart agriculture, agri-tech, and improving food systems.

Each year, a group of 10 young farmers and food entrepreneurs will receive leadership training, mentoring, and access to $45,000 in grant funds. The money will help them develop or expand their sustainable farming projects in their communities.

The six-month program is designed to build leadership skills, offer support from experts, and give young leaders a chance to work together. Participants can share their ideas, learn from each other, and grow their network of support.

This initiative is focused on empowering youth and creating lasting change in agriculture. The goal is to make farming more sustainable and help reduce hunger by using smart solutions.

The AgriChampions will have a chance to lead the way in transforming agri-food systems with local solutions. Their work may include using digital tools, adapting to climate change, or finding better ways to grow and deliver food.
