Join the Illinois Pork Producers Association Board and Make a Difference!
The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about the pork industry to join their Board of Directors. As a vital part of this association, you can help steer the future of the pork industry in Illinois.
The IPPA Board of Directors represents six regional districts, with space for up to 12 at-large positions. Alongside these roles, there are representatives from the National Pork Board, National Pork Producers Council, and other industry experts. What makes this board unique is that it's primarily composed of pork producers, ensuring that those with firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the industry lead the way. The Allied Industry Representative is the exception to this rule.
Board members serve on various committees responsible for planning IPPA activities throughout the year. From organizing events to shaping policy, they play a crucial role in driving the association's mission forward. The policies and programs decided upon are established by producer delegates at IPPA's annual meeting.
IPPA is currently looking to fill vacant seats in Districts 1 & 4, as well as several at-large positions. This is your chance to become an influential voice in the pork industry and actively contribute to its development.
How to Apply
If you're passionate about representing and supporting the pork industry, IPPA encourages you to apply for a board seat. Your insights and commitment could make a significant impact. The application deadline is December 15, 2023, so don't miss this opportunity.
