Illinois Extension is excited to host the annual Agronomy Field Day at Ewing Demonstration Center on Thursday, July 25, starting at 9 a.m. with lunch to follow. This event will feature various educators and campus faculty who will share best management practices for local growers.
The Ewing Demonstration Center, serving the agricultural community of southern Illinois since 1910, is renowned for its research, including trials for corn, soybeans, sorghum, wheat, and cover crops.
The center has been a leader in no-till research and demonstration plots for over 50 years, offering representative growing conditions for southern Illinois.
Ewing Field Day Itinerary:
9 - 9:15 a.m.: Welcome and Introductions

The event is free, and lunch will be provided. Certified Crop Advisor CEUs will also be offered. Ewing Demonstration Center is about 20 minutes south of Mt. Vernon, located at 16132 N. Ewing Rd in Ewing, IL, on the north edge of the village of Ewing, near Ewing Grade School. Additional signage will be posted near the center.
