The Illinois Extension Crop Management Conference 2025 offers agriculturalists a chance to strengthen their crop production strategies through expert insights and statewide research.
Hosted by the University of Illinois Extension, this event focuses on trends, challenges, and advancements in agriculture to help farmers enhance their decision-making processes.
Participants can attend sessions led by crop science experts from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, discussing topics like weed and disease control, insect management, weather monitoring, and advancements in agricultural technology.
These discussions bring together producers, researchers, students, and industry professionals to explore effective solutions for crop production challenges.
"Figuring out the future of crop production requires collaboration,” says Talon Becker, an Extension agriculture specialist. "This conference is about uniting the agriculture community to determine the best path forward."
Attendees can choose between two in-person events or access online content. The in-person events include:
- Feb. 12: Champaign (Register by Feb. 5 for $80; $100 after).
- Feb. 19: Sycamore (Register by Feb. 12 for $80; $100 after).
Lunch is included for in-person attendees, while students can register for $20 with a valid ID.
Online content, available from Feb. 23 to April 30, offers recorded presentations at a $50 registration cost. Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs) can earn up to seven CEUs by attending in-person or online sessions and completing corresponding quizzes.
