The 2026 Illinois Product Expo is set to bring together local farmers, food producers, artisans, and consumers during the Du Quoin State Fair. The event celebrates Illinois agriculture, which remains the state's largest industry, and provides an opportunity for visitors to explore a wide variety of locally produced goods.
Hosted in the Expo Hall during the second weekend of the fair, the Illinois Product Expo gives attendees a chance to learn more about products grown and made across the state. The event promotes local businesses while helping consumers better understand where their food and agricultural products come from.
Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA), highlighted the growing interest in locally sourced products and the importance of connecting consumers with producers.
“Consumers are increasingly interested in where their food comes from, and the Illinois Product Expo is a great way to connect buyers with local farmers and producers,” said Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA). “With demand for locally grown products on the rise, we’re excited to showcase the best of Illinois agriculture at the Du Quoin State Fair.”
Visitors can enjoy product samples and shop from a large selection of vendors offering items made in Illinois. Available products include seasonings, jellies, jams, honey, salsa, coffee, herbal teas, freeze-dried candy, soaps, lip balm, candles, birdhouses, wood crafts, gourd crafts, and many other specialty goods. Several Illinois wineries will also provide wine-tasting opportunities for adult visitors.
The expo serves as an important platform for small businesses and agricultural entrepreneurs. It allows them to introduce their products to new customers while strengthening support for local agriculture and rural communities. Events like these help encourage consumers to choose locally produced goods and contribute to the state's agricultural economy.
Kayla Graven, IDOA Domestic Marketing Manager, emphasized the value of showcasing Southern Illinois products and businesses.

We’re proud to showcase the creativity and quality of the businesses."
The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 28 through September 7, with free admission for visitors. Along with agricultural exhibits and entertainment, the Illinois Product Expo offers a unique opportunity to discover the quality, creativity, and diversity of products produced throughout Illinois.
The event highlights the importance of supporting local farming and encourages stronger connections between consumers and producers across the state.
