The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is thrilled to introduce the Fall Food Service Grant, a fantastic chance for high school teachers in Illinois who teach cooking, food service, or consumer education. This special offer provides money, up to $250, to reimburse teachers for buying pork. The goal of the grant is to make cooking lessons even better by adding pork to recipes that students will make.
The main aim is to help students learn about pork production and how to cook with it. Teachers can make fun cooking experiences to help students understand how pork works in recipes. The pork that's bought with the grant has to be used in recipes made by students. This shows both how creative students can be and what they've learned about cooking. Teachers need to give a detailed report about the class, the recipes, and what students thought.
Teachers who want to benefit from this grant need to apply by August 31, 2023. If they're chosen, they get the money after the cooking class and after they send the final report by December 8, 2023. To apply, go to the IPPA website and get the application form. After filling it out carefully and having the teacher sign it, send it to the IPPA by the deadline.
This grant shows how IPPA wants to help education and cooking exploration in high schools. By adding pork to cooking lessons, it helps students learn and get better at cooking.
