The University of Illinois Extension will be exhibiting its research, programs, and innovation at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, from August 29-31. The Extension will be located in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) tent at Booth 34W.
Visitors to the Extension tent can learn about a variety of topics, including: • Pollinator plant display and plant clinic activity
• Illinois pumpkin production
• Hands-on enviroscapes
• Current research in the Illinois tick program
• Farm safety, including PTO demonstrations
• Crop production displays, including growing season weather updates, artificial intelligence, and the farm of the future
• How to utilize maximum return to nitrogen information in corn production management
• How to recognize weed resistance
Programs and services from Extension's Family and Consumer Sciences staff Illinois Extension leadership, educators, and specialists will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. WILL Illinois Public Media/Illinois Extension/farmdoc will also broadcast live from the ACES tent.
The Farm Progress Show is a major agricultural event that brings together farmers, researchers, and businesses from across the country. It is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in agriculture and to see the latest research and technology.
