ASA Farmer Forum Returns with Conservation Insights and Networking

ASA Farmer Forum Returns with Conservation Insights and Networking

By Andi Anderson

The American Soybean Association (ASA) is inviting farmers to attend the 2025 ASA Farmer Forum on August 25 at the Mt. Zion Convention Center in Mt. Zion, Illinois. This free, half-day event aims to provide farmers with valuable insights into current conservation programs and help them make better decisions for their farms and the environment.

Scheduled the day before the Farm Progress Show, the forum will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a networking reception until 7:30 p.m. All attendees who complete the event will receive a complimentary one-day pass to the Farm Progress Show in nearby Decatur, a major farm event attracting thousands from over 30 countries.

This year’s forum, themed “Building Your Conservation Program and Profit Potential,” is designed to help farmers simplify complex conservation incentives and identify the best fit for their individual operations. The event will feature expert-led panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and opportunities to meet conservation technicians and crop advisors.

“Today’s farmers are under more pressure than ever to balance productivity with environmental stewardship,” said ASA President Caleb Ragland. “That’s why ASA is proud to bring farmers and experts together to simplify the process, highlight real opportunities, and ultimately help farmers make the best decisions.”

During the afternoon break and evening reception, attendees can explore sponsor exhibits, enjoy refreshments, and interact with conservation professionals. Support from the United Soybean Board and the Soy Checkoff, this year’s lead sponsor, helps make the event possible.

Open to all farmers, this educational and networking forum promises practical advice and a chance to learn more about profitable conservation strategies in modern agriculture.
