The 11th annual Donna Phillips 5K Run/Dog Walk will be held April 2 at Western Illinois University.
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Brophy Hall gymnasium, and participants should enter on the east side of the building. The 5K Run begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 5K Dog Run at 9:35 a.m. and the Dog Walk at 9:40 a.m.
The event is held in honor of long-time kinesiology department faculty member and department chair, the late Donna Phillips. More information about Phillips' career at WIU is available at http://wiu.edu/coehs/kinesiology/donnaphillipsrun/history.php.
Registration for the event is $20 for students; $25 for non-students; $40 for a non-student team of two; $60 for a student team of four; and $80 for a non-student team of four.
Registration can be completed athttp://wiu.edu/coehs/kinesiology/donnaphillipsrun , by texting DONNA5K to 41444 or by downloading the form and mailing or delivering payments to the WIU Department of Kinesiology, Donna Phillips 5K Run/Dog Walk, Brophy Hall. Early and online registration, which includes a t-shirt, ends Friday, April 1. Individuals and teams may also register on the day of the event.
