Kent Reid heads the new leadership team as president of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Reid, chief appraiser for Farm Credit Illinois, was elected during the organization's annual meeting in Springfield.
Joining him are Elizabeth Strom, AFM, vice president, with Murray Wise Associates, Champaign.; and, Maria Boerngen, Ph.D., academic vice president, associate professor of Agribusiness, Illinois State University, Normal. Others on the leadership team include Gary Schnitkey, Ph.D., secretary/treasurer, professor of Farm Management, University of Illinois, Urbana; Tim Harris, AFM, immediate past-president, executive manager with Capital Agricultural Property Services, Princeton; and Russ Hiatt, AFM, ARA, partner with Hiatt Farmland Services, Champaign.
The organization, founded in 1928, has 268 members serving landowners across Illinois.
