2026 American Farm Bureau Federation Convention Set for January

By Jamie Martin

The 2026 American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Convention, themed “Imagine. Grow. Lead.,” will be held from January 9–14 in Anaheim, California. It will bring together farmers, ranchers, and agriculture leaders for a week of learning, networking, and celebration.

The event will highlight innovation and leadership through its County Activities of Excellence display and the Ag Innovation Challenge. The challenge awards $100,000 in startup funds to a winning business, helping drive agricultural advancement.

One of the returning favourites is the Farm Dog of the Year contest. Nominations are open until July 11, and the winning dog will receive $5,000 and a year’s supply of Purina dog food.

This year’s closing keynote speaker is Tim Tebow, known for his sports achievements and humanitarian work. “Farmers and ranchers share that spirit of teamwork and commitment to community,” the AFBF stated, looking ahead to Tebow’s inspiring message.

Educational workshops will cover public policy, rural development, consumer engagement, and member engagement. Additional programming at the Trade Show’s Cultivation Center Stage and Ag Insights Hub promises further learning and inspiration.

To support youth leadership, the Empowering Young Leaders Reception will be held on January 11 for members aged 35 and under. It will be a night of fellowship and celebration.

The convention will also host the Young Farmers & Ranchers competitive events: the Achievement Award, the Excellence in Agriculture Award, and the Discussion Meet. These programs are designed to develop the next generation of leaders.

Farm Bureau members are encouraged to mark their calendars for this exciting event that celebrates agriculture and cultivates leadership across generations.
