The Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs (IIRA) at Western Illinois University, in conjunction with the Lt. Governor's Rural Affairs Council and Rural Partners will host the 34th annual Rural Community Economic Development Conference Feb. 22-23 at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield.
"Recruiting a Positive Future," will include session speakers discussing creative strategies for the future of rural Illinois, with breakout sessions highlighting successful community revitalization strategies and innovative practices. Thursday workshops include information on community and economic development techniques and policy discussions about rural development.
