Du Quoin State Fair 2025 Unveils Exciting Theme Days Lineup

The Du Quoin State Fair has announced its 2025 theme days, promising 11 days of celebration that highlight agriculture, culture, and community spirit in Illinois.

Fair Manager Luke Davison emphasized that agriculture remains at the heart of the fair, calling it “the number one industry in Illinois.”

The fair begins on Friday, August 22, with Family Night, where admission and parking are free. On the same evening, the fair’s ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Twilight Parade at 6 p.m., led by Grand Marshal Dr. Glenn Poshard.

The full schedule of theme days includes:

  • Saturday, August 23 – Governor’s Day
  • Sunday, August 24 – Veterans Day
  • Monday, August 25 – Agriculture Youth Day
  • Tuesday, August 26 – Republican Day
  • Wednesday, August 27 – Senior Day
  • Thursday, August 28 – Sponsor Appreciation Day
  • Friday, August 29 – Illinois Tourism Day
  • Saturday, August 30 – Coal Heritage Day / SIU College Day
  • Sunday, August 31 – First Responders Day
  • Monday, September 1 – Labor Day

Admission to the fair is free throughout, but parking policies vary. On opening day, August 22, parking is free for all visitors. From August 23 onward, parking costs $15 at Gate 1 and $10 at all other gates, with additional options available for seasonal and handicap-accessible parking.

The Du Quoin State Fair continues its tradition of combining entertainment with agricultural pride, giving families, students, veterans, seniors, and workers a chance to enjoy and honor Illinois’ heritage.
