By Andi Anderson

The recognition of Dan Cole and Dirk Rice by the U.S. Grains Council for their 10 years of service is a noteworthy achievement that highlights their dedication to the agricultural industry. Representing the Illinois Corn Marketing Board on the Council, their commitment has contributed significantly to the organization's mission.

Dan Cole, farming in west central Illinois, emphasizes the effectiveness of the U.S. Grains Council's trade missions in allowing farmers to convey their messages directly. He underscores the trust established between farmers and the importance of fellow farmers sharing their experiences to build credibility, especially when communicating with international partners.

Dirk Rice, farming in east central Illinois, highlights the vital role played by the U.S. Grains Council in developing foreign markets. Recognizing the organization's agility in identifying potential markets, connecting with buyers, and establishing efficient systems for grain exports, Rice emphasizes the importance of these efforts in sustaining the movement of American grain to other countries.

The recognition of Cole and Rice, alongside other honored members, at the 64th Annual Membership Meeting in Guatemala City acknowledges their exemplary service and leadership within the U.S. Grains Council. Congratulations to Dan Cole, Dirk Rice, and all the honorees for their dedication to advancing the interests of American grain farmers and contributing to the success of the agricultural community.
