Farm Bureau innovation challenge - $100K Prize

By Jamie Martin

The Farm Bureau, in collaboration with Farm Credit, extends the deadline for the 2025 Ag Innovation Challenge to June 22.

This national competition invites entrepreneurs to propose innovative solutions to address challenges faced by farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across America.

The top winner of the challenge will receive $100,000 in startup funds, with additional prizes for the runner-up and two other finalists.

A total of $145,000 in startup funds is up for grabs. After the application period, 10 semi-finalist teams will be selected, with the final four teams pitching virtually to compete for the top prizes.

The final four teams will participate in a live pitch competition at the AFBF Convention in January 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. The competition aims to support innovative businesses that benefit agriculture and rural areas.

Previous winners include companies like Barn Owl Precision Agriculture and NORDEF, showcasing the diversity of solutions and technologies being developed.

To qualify as a semi-finalist, entrepreneurs must be members of a county or parish Farm Bureau. Non-members can join to participate in the challenge. Detailed eligibility guidelines and the competition timeline are available on the Farm Bureau website.

The challenge offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to receive funding, gain exposure, and make a meaningful impact on agriculture and rural communities.

Don't miss the chance to showcase your innovation and contribute to the future of farming in America. Apply now and be part of the solution.
