2025 Crop Management Conference Online Registration Open

By Andi Anderson

The 2025 Crop Management Conference offers farmers and agriculturalists a chance to enhance their crop production plans.

Hosted by the University of Illinois Extension, this event combines research, trend analysis, and expert insights to help participants make informed farming decisions for the upcoming year.

With multiple locations and an online option, the conference ensures accessibility for everyone. Attendees can explore topical sessions covering the latest research updates from experts at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

These sessions focus on key aspects of crop management, including insect control, disease prevention, soil health, and water quality.

Participants attending in person can earn up to seven continuing education units (CEUs) for certified crop advisers across various topics. For those opting for the online platform, additional presentations and CEUs are available from February 23 to April 30. Registration for online-only access costs $50, with a deadline of March 15.

The online content, delivered through Learn @ Illinois Extension, provides flexibility for participants. Sessions last 25 to 50 minutes and offer CEUs upon quiz completion. Topics include insect and disease management, digital agriculture, and field weed research, among others.

Key speakers include state climatologist Trent Ford, weed science expert Aaron Hager, and digital agriculture specialist Dennis Bowman. Their sessions highlight essential strategies for optimizing corn and soybean production in 2025.

In-person events are scheduled for February 12 in Champaign and February 19 in Sycamore, with early bird registration discounts available. Online participants must create or log into a Learn @ Illinois Extension account to access content.

This conference is a must-attend for those looking to stay ahead in agriculture with actionable insights and research-backed strategies. For more details, visit the official webpage at go.illinois.edu/CMC.
