Kuberski Pig Barn Open House in Tamaroa July 9
Illinois Ag Connection - 06/29/2020
The Illinois Livestock Development Group (ILDG) and the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) are coordinating an Open House for a new 2,480 head wean to finish barn near Tamaroa for the Joshua and Desiree, and Paul and Christina Kuberski families. The event will be held July 9 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Ribbon cutting takes place at 5:00 pm with a meal immediately to follow.
Join in at this new barn for an open house and meal to celebrate the addition to the Kuberski's farm. This is an opportunity for the community to see first-hand what a modern pig barn looks like inside, before the pigs move in.
The Kuberski families are grower partners with The Maschhoffs in Carlyle. This partnership will allow the families to bring livestock to their farm to diversify from solely row crop production.
To ensure health and safety of visitors, the event will take place outside under a tent to allow for social distancing. Tours can be taken of the barn with limited quantities of guests at a time.
ILDG is a coalition of Illinois ag groups committed to expanding and growing the livestock industry. ILDG members include: IL Beef Association, IL Corn Marketing Board, IL Farm Bureau, IL Milk Producers'
Association, IL Pork Producers Association, and IL Soybean Association checkoff program. Part of the on-going efforts of ILDG is to help tell the positive story of livestock in Illinois. One way to accomplish this is helping plan and coordinate Open Houses for new livestock farms.
