Illinois FFA has shared several important updates, reminders, and new opportunities for the 2025–2026 year to help students, teachers, and chapters stay informed. These updates include educational programs, office schedules, key deadlines, and statewide events.
The Illinois FFA Center announced that it will be closed on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, for a staff retreat and professional development day. Members are also reminded about the Harvest for All Program, originally highlighted in the August 2025 listserv, as holiday giving remains important during this season.
The holiday office schedule has also been shared. The Illinois FFA Center will close at 12:30 p.m. on December 23, 2025, and remain closed from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026. The office will reopen on January 2, 2026.
Important student deadlines are approaching. The American FFA Degree Intent to Apply form is mandatory, and all applications are due on January 5, 2026. Students must ensure their email addresses are updated before applying.
The National FFA Scholarship Application is also open and due on January 15, 2026. Students are encouraged to begin early and avoid delays.
Educational opportunities continue to expand. The Missouri Prairie Foundation and its Grow Native! Program are offering a free Zoom training for FFA students and agriculture teachers on growing native seed and plants as farm crops.
The training will take place at 3:30 p.m. on December 16, 2025, and will include a Q&A session led by Mike Hoyle of Missouri Wildflowers Nursery.
Illinois FFA members are encouraged to mark their calendars for the 2026 Illinois Agriculture Legislative Day, scheduled for March 24, 2026. More information about the event will be shared in the new year.
The Advance Team Visioning Listening Session summary has been released, and the Administrative Council has approved Phase 1 of a feasibility study with CSL.
A new Late Fee Policy will take effect on January 1, 2026. All invoices must be paid within 60 days. After 60 days, a 5% late fee will be added to the total amount.
These updates aim to support smooth planning and active participation for all Illinois FFA members and educators.
