American Agri-Women (AAW) has announced Vikkie Becker of Alexander, Illinois as the recipient of its 2025 Rising Star Award. The award was presented during the organization’s National Convention and celebrates emerging leaders who show strong potential for future contributions to AAW and the broader agricultural community.
Becker has recently stepped into her new role as AAW’s Vice President of Communications, reflecting her growing involvement within the organization. Her leadership path strengthened after completing the Road to Influence (RTI) program in 2024. During her time in RTI, Becker became highly engaged in leadership development, and she now supports the program as a mentor, helping upcoming participants gain confidence and communication skills.
In Illinois, Becker is actively involved with Illinois Agri-Women (IAW) and plays an important role in the Women Changing the Face of Agriculture (WCFA) conference. She mentors Illinois FFA and 4-H young women, sharing her experiences and encouraging students to explore agricultural careers. Her continued mentorship highlights her commitment to empowering the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Beyond mentoring, Becker is a strong agricultural advocate and communicator. She contributes to several leadership programs and partners with multiple associations to amplify the voices of women in agriculture. Her dedication to outreach and education demonstrates her passion for making agriculture more inclusive and supportive for young women across Illinois.
AAW recognized Becker for her leadership, service, and dedication to advancing the organization’s mission. Her work illustrates the importance of mentorship, community involvement, and communication in shaping the future of agriculture. As she continues to grow in her national and state roles, Becker’s impact will influence both current and future leaders across the agricultural sector.
