The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) has named Josh Maschhoff of Nashville, Illinois, as its 2025 President. Raised on his family’s pork farm in Clinton County, Maschhoff brings years of experience in environmental sustainability, animal housing, and pork production. His leadership aims to strengthen the Illinois pork industry.
A sixth-generation pork producer, Maschhoff completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned an MS and MBA from Purdue and Indiana Universities.
Over the past 17 years, he has played a key role in farm operations, focusing on sustainability and efficient production. He currently leads a team managing sow farms and production partner finishers in Southern Illinois and Missouri.
Alongside his leadership role, Maschhoff and his wife, Angela, operate a 4,800-head wean-to-finish farm. They reside in Nashville, Illinois, with their four sons, Kyler, Brayson, Zander, and Huxton. His dedication to pork farming reflects his commitment to feeding people and building strong agricultural communities.
During the 2025 IPPA annual meeting, the organization also appointed other key officers for the upcoming year. Katie Brown from Morrisonville, Illinois, was elected as Vice President and Treasurer, while Randy Kuker from Clinton, Illinois, will serve as Secretary.
With Maschhoff at the helm, the Illinois pork industry looks forward to continued growth and innovation. His focus on sustainability and leadership will play a crucial role in shaping the future of pork production in the state.
