Illinois State Fair Box Office Opens with Big Ticket Perks

By Andi Anderson

The Illinois State Fair Box Office will open for in-person ticket sales starting Monday, June 2. Operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For one day only—June 2—customers buying tickets in person will receive a free adult admission ticket for every concert or event ticket purchased. This special offer is only valid on June 2 and only for in-person purchases.

In addition to this, the first 50 in-person buyers on opening day will get a free State Fair Foodie Pass. This pass includes gift certificates for treats such as mini donuts from The Donut Family, Cullers Fries, and Vose’s Korndogs—redeemable during the fair.

Concertgoers can also purchase tickets for events at The Arena and car races at the Grandstand while buying concert tickets. The concert lineup includes popular artists like Jake Owen, The Black Crowes, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Brad Paisley, The Chainsmokers, Def Leppard, and Turnpike Troubadours. Megan Moroney’s show is already sold out.

For those looking for more fun, discounted Mega Passes are available for unlimited rides at the Carnival Midway and Adventure Village.

The Mega Pass costs $80, while the Jumbo Pass, which includes access to the Giant Slide, costs $90. These prices are valid until July 31. After that, prices will increase by $20.

A Discount Admission Book offering 11 admissions is available for $45, and a seasonal Infield Parking Pass is available for $40, valid for all 11 days of the fair.

Fair officials encourage families to visit the box office early and take advantage of these great deals to plan a fun and affordable summer outing.
