For nearly 80 years, the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) has supported the pork community through leadership, service, and strong industry partnerships. One of the most important ways members can guide the association’s direction is by submitting resolutions for consideration at the 2026 Annual Meeting.
These resolutions allow producers to share their ideas, concerns, and priorities so the association can address topics that matter most to the industry.
The resolution process plays an important role in IPPA’s policy development. Each year, members review and discuss proposed topics to help determine the association’s position and long-term direction.
This ensures that decisions are shaped by those who understand the pork industry best—its producers. By submitting a resolution, members can also influence conversations at both the state and national levels, helping guide pork organizations across the country on key issues.
Completing the resolution form is a simple way to make sure your voice is heard. Whether the topic involves production challenges, market trends, consumer concerns, animal health, or future opportunities, the association wants to learn what matters to you. Every idea has value, and every submission helps strengthen the industry.
Members who wish to submit a resolution must complete and return the form by December 16, 2025. All submissions will be reviewed ahead of the 2026 Annual Meeting.
The 2026 Annual Meeting is open to all, even if you are not a delegate. It will take place on February 17, 2026, at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.
The meeting is scheduled just before the Illinois Swine Mixer, offering a full day of learning and networking for pork producers. More details will be announced soon, and all members are encouraged to attend.
By participating in the resolution process, producers help shape the future of Illinois pork production and ensure the industry continues growing stronger each year.
