By Andi Anderson

The Illinois State Fair is all set to welcome global music sensation The Chainsmokers on August 15, 2025. The popular GRAMMY Award-winning duo, known for their cross-genre style, will perform at the Illinois Lottery Grandstand stage in Springfield.

Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, the faces behind The Chainsmokers, have gained massive popularity with songs like Closer, Something Just Like This, Don’t Let Me Down, and newer releases like Don’t Lie.

With their fusion of pop, electronic, indie, and alternative music, the duo continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The group has produced several chart-topping albums such as Memories…Do Not Open, Sick Boy, World War Joy, and So Far So Good. Their 2024 album, No Hard Feelings, brought them further success and acclaim. In 2025, fans can expect more of their signature sound as they return to remix releases on SoundCloud.

“Bringing world-class talent like The Chainsmokers to the Illinois State Fair emphasizes our commitment to providing top-tier entertainment,” said Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

Fair Manager Rebecca Clark added, “Their ability to blend genres and engage audiences of all ages makes them the perfect addition to our Grandstand lineup.”

Tickets for the concert go on sale Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $85 to $150, with an optional $30 Pre-Show Party upgrade.

The 2025 Illinois State Fair will be held from August 7 to August 17. For updates, follow the fair on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Get ready for a summer night filled with music, lights, and excitement.
