The systematic review conducted by researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign sheds light on the significant occupational hazards faced by agricultural workers in the United States and globally. Here are the key findings and implications of their study:

• Common Causes of Injury: Vehicles, especially tractors and ATVs, were frequently cited as sources of injury, along with machinery, slips and trips, animals, chemicals, and tools.
• Global Perspective: The second study focused on machine-related injuries, with tractors identified as a leading cause of fatal incidents globally, particularly due to overturns. Regional variations were observed, reflecting different agricultural practices.
• Challenging Work Environment: Agricultural occupations are characterized by their demanding nature, involving manual labor, operation of machinery, and exposure to various environmental factors.
