The Will County Threshermen's Association invites enthusiasts of historical farming equipment to the Antique Tractor & Steam Engine Show.
Held from July 18th to 21st at the WCTA Show Grounds on Spiess Farm, this event promises a journey through the history of agriculture.
The show features a stunning array of antique and steam engines, tractors, and other machinery, demonstrating the transformation of farming practices over decades.
It provides a fascinating look at the technological advancements that have shaped agriculture, with a special focus this year on J.I. Case machinery and Single Cylinder Engines.
All makes and models of vintage machinery are welcome, ensuring a diverse display.
Visitors can participate in or watch Tractor Pulls and enjoy the daily Parade of Power, which highlights some of the most impressively preserved pieces.
The fieldwork demonstrations, including corn shelling and threshing, offer a hands-on experience of traditional farming techniques.
The event is packed with activities suitable for all ages. Children can engage in a variety of activities, from petting zoos to horse-drawn wagon rides, while adults might enjoy the craft and flea market or the live music performances by local bands.
The show grounds are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering ample time for guests to explore and enjoy the sights and sounds of yesteryear.
