By Andi Anderson

Illinois farmers, mark your calendars! The annual Conservation Cropping Seminar is set for January 31, 2024, offering online participation for a nominal $15 fee. From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., farmers can delve into soil and water conservation topics while earning CEUs.

This year's seminar promises a rich array of insights. Discussions will cover soil health enhancement, cover crops, technological advancements, root health improvement, nutrient management, and the latest agronomic research. Attendees will also engage in a live Q&A session with a panel of seasoned Illinois farmers and gain access to valuable resources.

The lineup of speakers and topics includes Greg Thoren sharing insights on Alternative Farming Methods, Dr. Lars Dyrud discussing the Next Generation of Digital Agriculture, Marion Calmer addressing Struggles with Stratification, Chris Perkins presenting Banded Systems Management for High Yields, and a compelling Farmer Panel.

This event, made possible by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, Champaign County Soil and Water Conservation District, Doug Hanson, Randy McElroy, and local Soil and Water Conservation Districts, aims to empower farmers with the latest knowledge and strategies.

To join this insightful seminar, secure your virtual seat by registering before January 24 at ccswcd.com/conservation-cropping-seminars
