Legendary rock band The Black Crowes are set to bring their signature sound to the Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Known for their raw energy and blues-driven guitar riffs, the band continues to captivate audiences with decades of rock & roll excellence.
Since breaking onto the scene in 1990, The Black Crowes have become one of the most iconic names in American rock. Their music blends southern rock, blues, and classic rock influences, delivering an authentic and electrifying experience. With over 30 million albums sold globally, their legacy is firmly established in rock history.
Their most recent release, Happiness Bastards, marks a celebrated return to creating original music. Praised by fans and critics alike, the album showcases the band’s enduring passion for rock and their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots.
Following their 2019 reunion, The Black Crowes have performed over 150 shows across 20 countries, reigniting their connection with fans around the world. Songs like She Talks to Angels, Remedy, and Hard to Handle remain timeless anthems, continuing to resonate with both longtime listeners and new audiences.
In a nod to their collaborative past, the band and rock icon Jimmy Page recently re-released the Live At The Greek album, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the powerful live performance.
“The Black Crowes represent the kind of powerhouse talent that makes the Illinois State Fair’s Grandstand lineup stand out year after year,” said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday, April 5 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $70 to $135, with a $30 optional Pre-Show Party upgrade available.
