More Companies Adopt Product of USA Label

More Companies Adopt Product of USA Label

By Jamie Martin

The USDA has announced that eight more companies have adopted the voluntary Product of USA label, marking another step forward in efforts to increase transparency within the food industry and support American agriculture.

The Product of USA label helps consumers identify meat and poultry products that are born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States. The initiative aims to provide clear information at the point of purchase and strengthen consumer confidence in domestically produced food products.

Since launching the nationwide campaign earlier this year, more than 30 businesses have committed to using the label. The latest additions further expand the reach of the initiative and increase the availability of certified products in communities across the country.

The newly participating companies include operations involved in beef, poultry, catfish, and specialty meat production. Their participation demonstrates broad industry support for efforts that promote transparency and highlight American-grown food products.

Supporters of the initiative say the label helps connect consumers to the farmers, ranchers, processors, and agricultural workers responsible for producing food across the United States. It also creates opportunities for businesses to distinguish their products in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

As consumers become more interested in food origin and production practices, many are seeking reliable ways to identify products sourced from within the country. The Product of USA label addresses that demand by establishing clear standards for qualifying products.

The initiative is also viewed as a tool for encouraging economic growth within rural communities. When consumers choose products carrying the label, they are supporting domestic agricultural businesses and helping strengthen local economies connected to farming and food production.

Beyond labeling efforts, USDA continues to invest in programs that support agricultural infrastructure and processing capacity. These initiatives are designed to create a stronger and more resilient food supply chain while increasing opportunities for producers and processors.

One of the key programs supporting this effort is the Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers (SPUR) Program. The initiative helps eligible processing facilities expand capacity and improve operations. Increased processing resources can benefit producers by improving market access and strengthening regional food systems.

“From the pasture to the dinner table, American families deserve to know that their food is American through and through. And as of today, 8 more companies are adding the Product of USA label to their product,” said Brooke L. Rollins.

She added, “Every company that adopts the Product of USA label is standing with our ranchers, our processors, and our rural communities. Now available in all 50 states, families can gather around the table this holiday season and be able to choose meat and poultry raised right here in America. Under President Trump’s leadership, USDA will keep working every day to put American farmers and ranchers first.”

Industry leaders note that strong domestic processing networks are essential for maintaining a competitive livestock sector. Investments in processing, combined with labeling programs, help create additional opportunities throughout the agricultural supply chain.

The growth of the Product of USA label initiative reflects continued interest from both industry stakeholders and consumers. More companies are exploring participation as awareness of the program increases nationwide.

Agriculture remains an important economic driver for many communities, and programs that promote domestic production can help strengthen long-term industry stability. By providing consumers with greater access to information, USDA aims to support informed purchasing decisions while encouraging growth across the agricultural sector.

With additional businesses expected to join the initiative in the future, the Product of USA label is likely to become increasingly visible in grocery stores and food markets across the country. The continued expansion underscores the ongoing effort to support American producers and provide consumers with confidence in the origin of their food.
