The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is helping residents celebrate the holiday season with special offers on Illinois State Fair passes and Illinois Product gift boxes. These seasonal promotions provide shoppers with an opportunity to save money while supporting local businesses and planning for future family entertainment.
Starting November 9, visitors can purchase Illinois State Fair passes at the lowest prices of the season. These special holiday prices are available through December 31, 2026, giving fair enthusiasts a chance to prepare for the 2027 Illinois State Fair while enjoying significant savings.
The available fair pass options include the Mega Pass, priced at $70, which provides unlimited carnival rides throughout the fair. The Jumbo Pass is available for $80 and includes all Mega Pass benefits along with unlimited rides on the popular Giant Slide. Visitors can also purchase an 11-Day Adult Admission Bundle for $45 and an 11-Day Senior Admission Bundle for $30. In addition, the Blue Ribbon Cookbook is being offered for $20 when purchased in person or $25 when shipped.
Alongside fair passes, IDOA is offering Illinois Product Gift Boxes filled with products made by Illinois businesses. Customers can choose from the Illinois Product Favorites Box for $60 or the Illinois Product Holiday Box for $40. These curated gift collections provide a simple way to support local producers while sharing regional products with family, friends, and coworkers during the holiday season.
Speaking about the initiative, Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, said, “The holidays are a great time to plan ahead for the Fair and support Illinois businesses. Whether you're picking up passes for next summer or gifting some of your favorite Illinois Products, there's something for everyone.”
A new feature introduced for 2026 adds greater convenience for customers purchasing Mega or Jumbo Passes. Buyers can now upload their photographs during checkout and receive their completed passes by mail in January 2027. This option allows customers to avoid the traditional in-person redemption process, provided their uploaded photo meets the required guidelines.
Those who prefer not to upload a photo can still purchase passes during the holiday sale and redeem them in person beginning in June 2027. All customers will receive a purchase confirmation email regardless of the option selected.
These holiday promotions offer an excellent opportunity for Illinois residents to save on fair admission, enjoy future entertainment, support local businesses, and purchase meaningful gifts made within the state.
