The Illinois State Fair has announced an exciting lineup of themed and discount days for the 2024 festivities. These special days will highlight various aspects of the fair, offering visitors unique experiences and opportunities to enjoy the event at a reduced cost.
Rebecca Clark, the Illinois State Fair Manager, stated, "Our theme days allow us to celebrate the diversity of the Illinois State Fair and everything it has to offer. Each year, we look for opportunities to make the fair affordable and accessible for families and to broaden their exposure to agriculture, the state’s number one industry."
The following themed days have been scheduled for the fair:
Thursday, Aug. 8 – County Fairs & Horse Racing Day, Double the Fun
Friday, Aug. 9 – Agriculture Day
Saturday, Aug. 10 – Kids Day
Sunday, Aug. 11 – Veterans & Gold Star Families Day (Free admission for veterans and their families)
Monday, Aug. 12 – Senior & Scout Day (Free admission for seniors and scouts)
Tuesday, Aug. 13 – Twosday ($2 Admission for seniors and adults)
Wednesday, Aug. 14 – Governor’s Day
Thursday, Aug. 15 – Republican Day
Friday, Aug. 16 – First Responder & Healthcare Heroes Day (Free admission for first responders and healthcare workers with ID)
Saturday, Aug. 17 – Park District Conservation Day
Sunday, Aug. 18 – Family Day
The Illinois State Fair will run from Aug. 8 through Aug. 18, offering visitors a wide range of activities and attractions. Each themed day is designed to celebrate the unique aspects of the fair, from agriculture and horse racing to honoring veterans and first responders.
Families can look forward to special discounts and free admission on select days, ensuring the fair is accessible to everyone. Themed days such as Kids Day and Family Day provide opportunities for all ages to enjoy the fair together.
