The WILCO Area Career Center is inviting students and educators to take part in the Fall 2025 Invitational Veterinary Science Career Development Event (CDE), a hands-on learning competition designed to inspire the next generation of animal health professionals.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the WILCO Area Career Center in Romeoville, Illinois.
This invitational contest offers an exciting opportunity for students interested in veterinary science to test their skills, expand their knowledge, and gain valuable real-world experience.
Participants will engage in activities that mirror the responsibilities of veterinary professionals, such as animal identification, equipment recognition, and problem-solving exercises related to animal health and care.
The event provides a platform for students to explore potential career paths in the growing field of veterinary medicine, while also fostering teamwork, leadership, and practical application of classroom learning.
Teachers and advisors are encouraged to bring their teams and help students strengthen their understanding of animal science and care practices.
Registration for the event is open until Monday, November 10, at 5:00 p.m. Interested schools and students can find the registration link and additional details on the WILCO Area Career Center’s official website. There is no registration fee, making it accessible to all schools that wish to participate.
For further information or any specific inquiries, participants can contact Ms. Jen Alessi at WILCO Area Career Center. She will assist with registration details and event guidelines.
The Invitational Vet Science CDE offers students a meaningful experience to apply their learning in a professional setting, meet peers from other schools, and prepare for future opportunities in the field of veterinary science.
