PlantPlus Foods LLC, a Chicago-based provider of leading-edge plant-based protein products across the Americas, is pleased to announce it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire Sol Cuisine Ltd. and DEW Drink Eat Well, LLC.
The acquisitions of Sol Cuisine and Hilary's will enhance PlantPlus Foods' operations in North America to accelerate plant-based protein category growth in whitespaces and new plant-forward finished goods solutions.
The Sol Cuisine transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and expected to close in Q1 2022. Sol Cuisine is a fast-growing producer of branded and private label, consumer-preferred plant-based protein offerings across key center-of-plate and appetizer categories. The Company's products are offered through an established omni-channel distribution platform in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Hilary's produces allergen-free plant and vegetable-based foods without the use of wheat, gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, corn or nuts, focused on nutritious meals. The product portfolio consists of plant-based burgers and sausages and is distributed in the USA and Canada.
