Country music sensation Jake Owen is set to headline the Illinois State Fair Grandstand on Friday, August 8. This special performance falls on Agriculture Day, a highlight of the fair, making it a great way to celebrate the contributions of farmers and the agricultural community.

Jake Owen is known for his easygoing style and popular hits like “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” and “The One That Got Away.” With over 2.5 billion on-demand streams and 10 number-one singles, he has become a favorite among country music fans across the country.

“August 8 is Agriculture Day at the Illinois State Fair, and this is the perfect way to celebrate,” said Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. “Country artists are a crowd favorite in central Illinois, and we are excited to bring Jake Owen to the Grandstand.”

Owen has released nine studio albums and won multiple music awards. He also appeared in the 2019 film Our Friend and is now working on two new projects expected to release later in 2025.

“Jake Owen brings the kind of feel-good, singalong energy that defines summer nights at the Illinois State Fair,” added Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “We’re excited to welcome him to Springfield.”

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, via Ticketmaster. Prices range from $30 to $95, with a $30 Pre-Show Party upgrade available.

The 2025 Illinois State Fair will take place from August 7 to August 17 in Springfield. For updates and announcements, follow the fair on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
