Illinois State Fair Box Office Opens With Giveaways And Exclusive Tickets

By Andi Anderson

The Illinois State Fair Box Office officially has opened on today, June 1, giving visitors their first chance to buy tickets for concerts, Arena shows, and Grandstand events for the 2026 fair. The Box Office is located on the first floor of the Grandstand and operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

To celebrate opening day, a special giveaway has been introduced. Anyone who purchases a ticket today, either in person or by phone, will be entered into a lucky draw. A total of 66 winners will receive one free admission ticket and one free parking pass. This special offer celebrates the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and provides visitors with a chance to enjoy the fair at no cost.

In addition, 100 exclusive tickets for the Ella Langley concert are available only through the Box Office. These tickets are not being sold online or through Ticketmaster, making them highly valuable. Buyers can purchase a maximum of two tickets per person or transaction while supplies last.

“Opening the Box Office is always an exciting milestone because it means the Illinois State Fair is right around the corner,” said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II. “This year, we wanted to give fairgoers even more reasons to celebrate by offering exclusive concert tickets and the chance to win free admission and parking as we kick off another great Fair season.”

Visitors can also purchase discounted ride passes. The Mega Pass costs $80 and allows unlimited rides in the Carnival Midway and Adventure Village. The Jumbo Pass, priced at $90, also includes access to the Giant Slide. These prices are valid until July 31, after which they will increase by $20.

For those looking to save on entry, Admission Bundles are available for $45, offering 11 admissions valid on any day. Seasonal Infield Parking Passes cost $40 and allow parking throughout all 11 days of the fair.

“The Box Office opening is one of the best opportunities for fairgoers to lock in great deals before the Fair begins,” said Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “From ride passes and admission bundles to concerts and racing events, there are so many ways for families to plan ahead and save money.”

The 2026 Illinois State Fair will take place from August 13 to August 23 in Springfield.
