Illinois fairgoers will have a special musical treat in 2026 as global hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa is set to perform at two major state fairs. He will appear at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield on August 19 and later at the Du Quoin State Fair on August 29. These performances will give fans in different regions a chance to enjoy his music live.
Wiz Khalifa is a well-known artist who gained popularity worldwide after the release of his album Rolling Papers in 2011. The album featured hit songs such as “Black and Yellow,” “Roll Up,” and “No Sleep.” These tracks helped him become one of the leading names in hip-hop music. Over the years, he has continued to produce successful songs like “Work Hard, Play Hard,” “We Dem Boyz,” and the famous “See You Again,” which topped music charts in 95 countries.
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II highlighted the importance of such performances. He said, “Bringing an artist like Wiz Khalifa to both Springfield and Du Quoin shows the strength and reach of our state fairs. These fairs continue to attract nationally recognized entertainers and provide fairgoers across Illinois the chance to experience major live performances close to home. Whether you’re in Central Illinois or Southern Illinois, these concerts help make our fairs true entertainment destinations each summer.”
Wiz Khalifa’s success continued with his 2014 album Blacc Hollywood, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Apart from music, he has expanded into television, gaming, and business ventures while still creating new music and performing worldwide. His recent release, KUSH + ORANGE JUICE 2, followed a major performance at the Stagecoach Music Festival.
Tickets for both events will be available through Ticketmaster. Du Quoin State Fair tickets are already on sale, with prices ranging from $45 to $55. Tickets for the Illinois State Fair will go on sale on June 27, with prices ranging from $55 to $120. An additional $30 pre-show party upgrade will also be offered.
The Illinois State Fair will be held from August 13 to 23, 2026, while the Du Quoin State Fair will run from August 28 to September 7, 2026. These events promise entertainment, music, and fun for visitors of all ages.
