Western Illinois University Hosts Graduate Expo and Career Fair

By Andi Anderson

Western Illinois University (WIU) invites students, alumni, and community members to two major events focused on graduate education and career development. Both will take place from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

The Graduate Program Expo gives attendees the chance to explore WIU’s wide range of graduate programs. Faculty and staff from the School of Graduate Studies will be available to discuss program options, guide prospective students through the application process, and answer questions about advancing academic careers.

At the same time, the All-Major Career and Internship Fair will connect job seekers with employers from diverse industries. Participants can learn about internship opportunities, explore full-time job openings, and build professional networks.

A full list of participating employers is available through Handshake under the Career and Internship Fair listing.

Both events are free and open to WIU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public. Professional attire is encouraged for those attending the career fair to make a strong impression on potential employers.

For additional details, contact the WIU School of Graduate Studies at (309) 298-1806, email Grad-Office@wiu.edu, or visit wiu.edu/grad. More information about the Career Center and employer participation can be found at wiu.edu/careers.

This combined event offers valuable opportunities for anyone interested in further education, internships, or career advancement, making it a key date on the WIU fall calendar.
