Record crowds at Illinois State Fair concerts

The 2024 Illinois State Fair Grandstand Acts drew a large crowd, with concertgoers purchasing over 66,000 tickets for a variety of performances. The most popular show was Lil Wayne’s concert, which set a record with 15,427 tickets sold.

Following Lil Wayne, pop boy band Jonas Brothers came in second with 9,952 tickets sold, while country star Keith Urban rounded out the top three with 8,778 tickets.

Other notable acts included Miranda Lambert, who sold 8,216 tickets, and rock band Motley Crue, with 7,652 tickets sold. Despite releasing one of the top songs of the summer, Shaboozey’s show sold the fewest tickets, with just 2,641 fans in attendance.

In total, 66,872 tickets were sold across all the Grandstand performances at the Illinois State Fair, making it a successful event for concertgoers and organizers alike.

  • Motley Crue: 7,652
  • Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: 3,760
  • Jordan Davis: 3,961
  • Lil Wayne: 15,427

  • Miranda Lambert: 8,216
  • Shaboozey: 2,641

With a diverse range of performers and a record-breaking headliner, this year’s Grandstand Acts were a hit with Illinois fairgoers.
