Ogle County Farm Stroll Returns for Visitors

By Andi Anderson

The annual Ogle County Farm Stroll is set to take place on October 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This event will be held at various farms across Ogle County, giving visitors an opportunity to experience agriculture in a fun and interactive way.

The Farm Stroll is a self-guided tour, which means there is no fixed starting or ending point. Visitors can choose which farms they want to visit and plan their day according to their interests.

Each participating farm offers a unique experience, including fresh products, farm demonstrations, and engaging activities.

The event is free to attend, making it accessible for families, students, and anyone interested in learning about farming. However, visitors are encouraged to bring cash, as many farms offer food, products, and special activities for purchase. This allows people to support local farmers directly.

One of the key attractions of the event is the “passport” system. Visitors can collect a passport at their first farm stop and get it stamped at each location they visit. After completing the instructions, they can submit the passport at their final stop for a chance to win prizes provided by participating farms.

Participants are advised to dress according to the weather and wear closed toe shoes for safety while touring farms. Since the event takes place outdoors, proper preparation ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The Ogle County Farm Stroll highlights the importance of local agriculture and helps build a connection between farmers and the community. It encourages people to learn where their food comes from and supports small-scale farming businesses in the region.
