The Illinois State Fair has announced that the deadline for livestock entries for the 2023 Illinois State Fair has been extended to July 7. According to the original rules, entries were required to be postmarked by July 1. However, due to severe weather and power outages affecting various areas of the state, including post offices, the fair has decided to provide a grace period for submitting livestock entries. All livestock entries for the 2023 Illinois State Fair must now be postmarked by Friday, July 7.
Rebecca Clark, the Illinois State Fair Manager, acknowledged that weather conditions are beyond anyone's control and emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, life, and safety. The fair hopes that this grace period will alleviate any concerns for exhibitors during these exceptional circumstances.
In addition to mailing the livestock entry forms, exhibitors also have the option to drop off their forms at the entry drop box located at the Emerson Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
Make sure to mark your calendars for the 2023 Illinois State Fair, scheduled to take place from August 10 to 20 in Springfield.
