By Andi Anderson

The Illinois State Fair has added two more artists to its Grandstand lineup, bringing excitement for music lovers attending the event. Sheryl Crow and Turnpike Troubadours will take the stage on August 12 and August 17, respectively.

Sheryl Crow, a nine-time Grammy-winning artist, is known for her mix of soft rock and alternative rock. Her music has inspired audiences worldwide, and state fair officials are excited about her return. J “Her music lifts people up, brings them together, and we can’t wait for that to happen at the Illinois State Fair,” said Jerry Costello II in a news release, who is Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Fans can purchase tickets for her show starting Friday on Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from $40 to $105.

Turnpike Troubadours, a country music band from Oklahoma, has built a strong fan base since its formation in 2005. With over 1.5 billion streams and sold-out concerts, the group continues to rise in popularity. “Turnpike Troubadours perform a unique kind of music that we are happy to have at the Illinois State Fair,” said Jerry Costello. “This band will feel right at home here in central Illinois.” Tickets for their performance will be available on February 15 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, with prices between $55 and $125.

Def Leppard and country singer Megan Moroney have also been confirmed as Grandstand performers. The fair will announce six more headliners soon.
