The Illinois FFA has released its October 2025 updates packed with important announcements, internship opportunities, registration dates, and national invitations for student members and advisors across the state.
Among the key highlights, teachers are invited to assist as Conference Supervisors during upcoming FFA conferences. These volunteers will support student management, coordinate attendance, and help ensure smooth event operations. Selected teachers will receive free advisor registration as a thank-you for their service.
The October FFA Board Meeting Report is now available for members to review recent updates and initiatives. Meanwhile, the Illinois FFA Center has opened applications for its 2026 Summer Intern Positions, including the legislative internship established in memory of Bill Johnson. Applications are due November 7, 2025, with interviews scheduled for December 1, 2025.
Several important registration deadlines are approaching for state and regional events. The State Food Science registration closes October 24, and Middle School Conference registrations close between October 27 and November 10 depending on the host college. Additionally, the State Dairy Foods and Agronomy CDEs registrations open November 5. Participants are reminded to print their invoices through JudgingCard and confirm their Hopper or Golden Ticket credits before payment.
Students are also invited to participate in the National FFA Quiz Contest Invitational on October 28, 2025, offering an exciting way to test their agricultural knowledge.
Other featured opportunities include the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) and FLEX Abroad programs, which allow U.S. students to study languages overseas and develop leadership and cultural skills.
Finally, FFA members can take part in the Syngenta State Plunge at the National FFA Convention, a fun event supporting the Illinois FFA Foundation.
For full details and application links, members and advisors are encouraged to visit the Illinois FFA Center website and stay updated on future announcements.
