The Illinois State Fair has announced that the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown will perform on the Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The event is expected to draw large crowds as fans gather to enjoy a high-energy night of music and entertainment.
Shinedown has built an impressive career with worldwide recognition and a loyal fan base. The group has achieved more than 8.3 billion global streams and 24 number one rock hits.
Their collection also includes 15 platinum and gold singles, along with every album in their discography earning either gold or platinum certification. Popular songs like “Second Chance,” “Simple Man,” and “Sound of Madness” have helped them sell more than 10 million albums across the world.
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming performance. “Shinedown is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of our time, and we’re excited to welcome them to the Illinois State Fair,” he said. “Their music connects with fans across generations, and their reputation for powerful live performances makes them a perfect addition to our 2026 concert lineup.”
The band’s latest hit, “A Symptom Of Being Human,” continues to gain popularity. It has reached nearly 125 million global streams and charted across five major radio formats.
The song achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first to place in the Top 10 at Active Rock, Alternative and Hot AC radio on Mediabase. Its message focuses on the value of human connection, which has resonated deeply with listeners.
Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark shared her excitement as well. “Bringing an act of Shinedown’s caliber to the Illinois State Fair underscores our commitment to offering fans world-class entertainment,” she said. “They are known for their explosive live shows, and this performance is sure to be a highlight of the 2026 Fair.”
Tickets will be available beginning tomorrow, i.e. Friday, February 19 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices include Tier 3 at $60, Tier 2 at $75, Tier 1 at $85, Track at $90, and Blue Ribbon at $140. Concertgoers may also purchase a $30 Pre-Show Party upgrade.
