Get ready for a fantastic experience at the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) Tent during the 2023 Illinois State Fair. From free food samples and apple cider slushies to fun crafts for kids and even a tractor play area, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Agriculture Appreciation: Discover the story behind Illinois-grown products and meet the farmers who make it happen.

Activities and Highlights:

• Artisan Market: Sample delicious local treats from August 11th-13th. Try goodies like BBQ sauce, ice cream, jams, shrubs, baked goods, snacks, and more.

• AgVenture Kids Area: Let your kids explore and learn about agriculture through play. They can enjoy a tractor playground, crafts, cute piglets, and corn and soybean sensory play.

• Illinois Specialty Growers Farm Stand: Enjoy refreshing apple cider slushies, watermelon, soft-serve ice cream, sweet corn, and peaches.

• Illinois Farm Bureau Stage: Check the daily schedule for exciting events, including the USDA Beagle Brigade, Farmer Presentations, Bee Keeping Talks, contests, and more.

• HyVee Illinois Product Store: Shop for local favorites like popcorn, meats, cheese, seasonings, jerky, coffee, BBQ sauce, and beverages from August 14th-20th. Daily Treats and Goodies:

• Giveaways: Receive cool items like Buy Local Stickers, Illinois Product Bags, Apple Cider Slushies, Horseradish Hot Sauce, Soybean Stress Relievers, Ag Tent Cash, and Buy Local T-Shirts (while supplies last).

When and Where:

The IDOA Tent is open daily from 10am to 8pm, and 10am to 6pm on the last Sunday of the fair. Check the daily schedule for all the exciting details.
