Advanced Farming Solutions Grow with Nordson

By Jamie Martin

Nordson Precision Agriculture has taken a major step forward by acquiring CapstanAG, a leading agricultural technology company based in Kansas. This strategic move supports Nordson’s goal of expanding its advanced farming solutions and strengthening its global presence.

CapstanAG is widely recognized for its Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology. This innovation allows precise control of spraying systems at each nozzle, helping farmers apply liquids more accurately. Such precision reduces input waste and improves crop protection, making farming more efficient and environmentally friendly.

"The acquisition of CapstanAG represents a strategic step in our growth journey," said Daniel Neves, vice president of Nordson Precision Agriculture. "CapstanAG strengthens our portfolio of fluid-management solutions and increases our presence in the North American market, further expanding our ability to support customers with cutting-edge technologies."

By bringing CapstanAG into its operations, Nordson enhances its range of fluid management technologies. The company aims to provide farmers with better tools that improve productivity and simplify field operations. This acquisition also helps Nordson grow its footprint in North America, an important market for modern agricultural equipment.

The combination of CapstanAG and Nordson’s ARAG product line is expected to deliver strong advantages. Farmers and equipment manufacturers will benefit from access to high-quality components, advanced manufacturing, and improved service support. These improvements can help meet the rising demand for precision farming solutions.

CapstanAG’s experience and close relationships with agricultural manufacturers add further value to the partnership. Its focus on customer needs and innovation aligns with Nordson’s long-term vision for growth and development.

"The combination of CapstanAG and ARAG will be beneficial to our customers and employees by having access to global infrastructure," said Jeff Grimm, director of operations at CapstanAG. "In addition, access to world-class components and manufacturing capabilities will allow us to better serve our customers."

Leaders from both companies believe integration will create new opportunities for innovation. By working together, they plan to develop more intelligent and efficient technologies for modern agriculture.

This acquisition reflects Nordson’s commitment to sustainable farming practices. It also strengthens its role in providing solutions that help farmers increase yields while reducing environmental impact.
