The Illinois State Fair announced that country music star Bailey Zimmerman will perform at the Illinois Lottery Grandstand on Ag Day, Friday, August 14, 2026.
The concert will take place during the 2026 Illinois State Fair in Springfield and is expected to be one of the event’s most popular shows.
Zimmerman, who was raised in Louisville, Illinois, is returning to his home state after achieving major success on the national and global country music stage. His appearance at the Illinois State Fair highlights his strong connection to Illinois and celebrates local talent that has reached international recognition.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture shared that Zimmerman’s Illinois background makes the performance especially meaningful. Fair officials noted that his journey reflects the hardworking spirit often associated with the state’s agricultural and rural communities.
Zimmerman began gaining attention in 2020 by sharing original music on social media. His breakout song ‘Fall in Love’ quickly became a major hit and reached number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The song later earned multi-platinum status. He followed that success with ‘Rock And A Hard Place’, which remained at number one for several weeks and achieved even higher certification.
In recent years, Zimmerman released his second studio album ‘Different Night Same Rodeo’ through Atlantic Records and Warner Music Nashville. The album features several popular songs, including collaborations with well-known artists, and continues to receive strong radio and streaming support.
Zimmerman has also earned nominations from major music award organizations and has appeared on national television programs. Music industry publications have praised his honest songwriting and energetic live performances.
Illinois State Fair officials stated that his concerts are known for their excitement and strong audience connection. Tickets for the show will go on sale February 13 through Ticketmaster, with multiple seating options available, including premium upgrades.
The 2026 Illinois State Fair will run from August 13 through August 23 in Springfield, offering agriculture exhibits, entertainment, food, and family activities alongside major concert performances.
