Miss Ford County to Vie for Miss Illinois County Fair Queen

Maci Kingren, Miss Ford County 2023, is all set to compete in the highly anticipated 2024 Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs State Queen Pageant. Scheduled from January 11th to 14th at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, the event will witness the participation of 73 county fair queens, each vying for the coveted Miss Illinois County Fair Queen 2024 title. 

The competition will encompass various segments, including personal interviews, stage presence, beauty, physical condition, and communication skills. Off-stage personal interviews are slated for Friday, while the preliminary stage rounds, where Kingren will feature as Contestant #45, are set for Saturday afternoon at 7 p.m. in the Ruby/Diamond room on the second floor of the Crowne Plaza. The preliminaries are open to the public for a nominal charge, with free entry for children under 10. 

The climax of the event arrives on Sunday evening at 4 p.m. during the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs Annual Banquet. At this final stage, fifteen finalists will be selected to contend for the prestigious Miss Illinois County Fair Queen title. 

A 19-year-old graduate from Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School, Maci Kingren currently pursues her education at the University of Illinois as part of the Parkland Pathways program. Her aspirations revolve around securing a bachelor's degree in agribusiness markets and management, nurturing her dream of a career in agricultural sales. 

As she steps into this prominent state pageant, Kingren carries the hopes and support of Ford County, showcasing her grace, skills, and dedication in this revered competition.
